To make the Easy Start Select display a temperature on the screen you need to join the grey/red wire to the brown/white wire on the heater harness.
Without this connection the controller does not know where to take a temperature reference from. Be sure to remove the fuses, make this connection and then reinsert the fuses, heater fuse first.
