hi, there's 2 popular choices of actuating cable for these variable flap Y branch from Webasto and Eberspacher. Option 1 from Eberspacher, please take a look at our item 221000010300, an elegant solution, best option for say a car dash panel. Option 2 from Webasto, see 107812KIT - I like this option because it's very robust ... guess it isn't quite as pretty as the Eberspacher heater solution. Both systems will work with this valve.
