Hi Trevor. Thank you for your question. Butler Technik do stock parts for old Webasto heaters. We also have a heater repair workshop where we test and repair older Webasto heater models.
If you could please provide the heater model we can check to see if we have the parts you require. You'll find the Webasto heater model number on the data plate attached to the heater, If you'd like to speak with us please call 01522 243310. You can also email sales@butlertechnik.com.
Best regards Michael

Hi Trevor. If you heater is a Webasto Air Top 32, Butler Technik do have replacement parts available. You will find these genuine Webasto parts at https://www.butlertechnik.com/air-top-32 where you will see a handy hotspot diagram of the Air Top 32 to choose parts and a list of compatible parts below that.
My own investigations indicate that many parts for the Air Top 32 have been discontinued as this is an older Webasto heater model.
The 488933 gasket kit has been discontinued by Webasto. Some parts are available separately.
You will find the Air Top 32 heater burner matting at https://www.butlertechnik.com/item/Webasto/HL32-Burner-Matting-1319261A-117835/6R4
Webasto HL32D or Air Top 32 Diesel or petrol gasoline heat exchanger gasket - https://www.butlertechnik.com/item/Webasto/HL32D-or-Air-Top-32-Diesel-or-petrol-gasoline-heat-exchanger-gasket-468703/52P
If we can help with anything else please call 01522 243310 or email sales@butlertechnik.com
Best regards

Thank you for your reply.
I have now removed the heater from my boat and propose sending it to you for service/repair as required. I confirm the model is HL 32 D 12volt.
I have not so far uninstalled the fuel pump, control box or room controller. Will you need any of these as there is no reason to suppose they are faulty.
Regards
Trevor

I have now packed up my heater, fuel pump and ECU ready for despatch but unfortunately have received this reply from your service departmen.
The service kit for this heater is no longer available and discontinued by the manufacturer, therefore we wouldn’t be able to service or diagnose an Air Top 32 s.
Is there anything you can do to help.
Regards
Trevor

Hello Trevor. Our Webasto heater technicians are knowledgeable and experienced with the diagnosis and repair of these air heaters. Certainly, the Air Top 32 is an old generation heater, a 'full' service kit is no longer purchaseable from Webasto unfortunately. We would require to test the heater to learn exactly what parts are required, to establish whether your heater remains economical to repair. If your heater proves beyond sensible repair costs then a new generation replacement heater may be the way forward. Your current Air Top 32 has a heat output of 3.2kW. If you wish to maintain this level of output the most popular model is the Webasto Air Top EVO 40 (4kW). If you feel you would be comfortable with a lower heat output the Webasto Air Top 2000 STC is also a popular and economical option as replacement. In either case this would require a complete install kit. You may be able to utilise any existing air ducting, dependent on the current configuration. To advise on the best course of action we need to know more about your requirements. It would be best to email or speak with you directly. You could call +44 (0)1522 243310 or email sales@butlertechnik.com. We are always happy to help. Best regards Michael.
