you are correct in your thoughts regarding this room thermostat type of Eberspacher controller - unfortunately they are no longer available. There are good alternatives, some of which are digital, but we need to learn whether your heater is H KIT compatible, or perhaps if you know the age of the heater. Perhaps send us a photo of your heater dataplate, if it's HKIT compliant then you should see the logo similar the image attached
