I am planning to fit an S2 D2L heater. I have 3 questions please. 1. Can I fit an 802 controller with S2 D2L and does it just plug-in direct to the heater connector ? 2. Is it possible to extend the cabling (buy an extension cable) to have the 802 say 3 metres from the heater ? 3. Assuming just a basic / simple system ( e.g turn on the heater and switch off after 30 minutes / when people feel a bit warmer) - is the 802 controller all that is needed ?

Morning Mike, Thank you for your enquiry. 1. Can I fit an 802 controller with S2 D2L and does it just plug in direct to the heater connector ? - The controller comes with its own plug housing and terminal which is going to need installing as per the wiring diagram. 2. Is it possible to extend the cabling (buy an extension cable) to have the 802 say 3 metres from the heater - Unfortunately we do not offer an extension harness for this part of the wiring loom, providing done properly there should be no problem in extending the harness to suit your install. 3. Assuming just a basic/simple system (e.g. turn on the heater and switch off after 30 minutes / when people feel a bit warmer) - is the 802 controller all that is needed? - If you are looking for a simple on off switch with digital display and set temperature then yes this is the best controller for you. if you are looking for an on/off switch with diagnostic then i would advice you go for the Easystart Select link below. EasyStart Select https://www.butlertechnik.com/item/Eberspacher/Easy-start-Select-controller-Airtronic-or-Hydronic-heater-221000341300/6SE If you are looking for the easiest installation then I would go with the Easystart Pro, but this is a seven-day timer, that can be used as an on/off switch or you can use it to set it for one hour and it will automatically switch off. Easiest installation because the harness already has the 4-pin plug installed we offer an extension harness up to 4 meters again comes with the correct 4-pin plugs so efficiently plug and play. Again I have put links below for you to see Controller EasyStart Pro https://www.butlertechnik.com/item/Eberspacher/EasyStart-PRO-for-Airtronic-S2-M2-and-Hydronic-S3-12v-24v-Heaters-221000352200/619 Extension harness https://www.butlertechnik.com/item/Eberspacher/Espar-Easy-Start-Pro-controller-timer-extension-harness-4m/6E8 If you have any other questions please let me know Kind Regards Liam Roberts
