Are you have issues with your Eberspacher temperature sensor? Not seeing the correct temperature reading on the display of your EasyStart Pro controller? Most issues are caused due to the the controller and indicator sensor settings. Below you will find short step by step instruction on how to set up the temperature sensing options of the EasyStart Pro controller.
Firstly we advise a Factory Reset of EasyStart PRO controller. Follow the steps shown on the images below.
Enter the Workshop menu of the EasyStart Pro controller.
Reset the controller to factory settings. This will revert the EasyStart PRO controller to its original condition allowing the indicator settings to be changed.
Go through the Initial Commissioning process. Follow the steps on sub-paragraph 6.1 to 6.2
Setting the Sensor Combination
The setting combination you choose is dependent on a couple of things.
Control sensor control settings – this is where the heater monitors air temperature and regulates heat output depending on the temperature setpoint (the temperature you set at the controller).
Temperature Sensor Indicator Settings – this is where the temperature displayed on the EasyStart PRO is being detected.
Temperature Sensor Control Settings
This option regulates heat output based on the temperature of air passing over the heater unit. This setting should only be used if you are re-circulating your blown air throughout a single space within a vehicle or boat.
This option regulates heat output, based on the air temperature at the EasyStart PRO controller. If the controller is in the same location as the area you are heating, and you are NOT re-circulating your blown air within one space, this option should definitely be selected.
Temperature Sensor Indicator Settings
This option is to determine where the temperature displayed on the EasyStart PRO is taken from.
If None has been selected, it is possible that the EasyStart PRO will not display a temperature. Select the option labelled Air Heater to display the temperature at the Air Heater on the EasyStart PRO controller.
Select the Control Unit option to display the air temperature at the EasyStart PRO on the display. If you are using the EasyStart PRO (control unit) as the control sensor (as above), you should also use the EasyStart PRO (control unit) as the Indicator sensor.
